# MGET

> Get values of multiple keys.

Use `MGET` to read the values of several keys in one call.

The reply holds one entry per key, in the order requested, so it can be zipped straight back onto your list of keys. Keys that do not exist, and keys holding a value that is not a string, come back as null rather than raising an error.

One `MGET` replaces N round trips of [`GET`](/redis/commands/string/get), which is usually the difference that matters when loading a batch of cached objects.

## Syntax

```redis
MGET <key> [<key> ...]
```

## Arguments

## Response

The reply reports the result of the operation. Error replies have the same shape in RESP2 and RESP3 and are surfaced as exceptions by the SDKs below.

## Examples

TCP examples use the TLS `REDIS_URL` from the Upstash console. REST examples use `UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL` and `UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_TOKEN`.
