MGET - Upstash Documentation

Use MGET to read the values of several keys in one call.

The reply holds one entry per key, in the order requested, so it can be zipped straight back onto your list of keys. Keys that do not exist, and keys holding a value that is not a string, come back as null rather than raising an error.

One MGET replaces N round trips of GET, which is usually the difference that matters when loading a batch of cached objects.

Syntax#

MGET <key> [<key> ...]

Arguments#

Response#

The reply reports the result of the operation. Error replies have the same shape in RESP2 and RESP3 and are surfaced as exceptions by the SDKs below.

Note

Client libraries often decode bulk strings, maps, sets, and numeric strings into language-native values. The table describes the Redis wire reply.

Examples#

TCP examples use the TLS REDIS_URL from the Upstash console. REST examples use UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_URL and UPSTASH_REDIS_REST_TOKEN.
